Mansour Al Menhali called up to the UAE Olympic national team

Mansour joined Palm City this season from Al Wahda and has settled quickly into a squad that now contains internationals from France, Portugal and Mali. He has held his own in that company from the first week.

The call-up is not his first, and it says something about where this club is going that it will not be his last from here. Palm City set out to be a place where Emirati players compete alongside experienced international professionals and are seen doing it. Having a player in the national set-up in the club's third season is the clearest sign yet that the idea holds.
