H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan attends UAE President's Cup final

The final was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who attended as guest of honour and presented the trophy to the winning side.
Sheikh Ahmed was received at the event, where discussions touched on the development of football in the United Arab Emirates, the growth of the domestic game, and the pathway for Emirati players through the national league structure.
For Palm City, a club in only its third season, the occasion carried particular meaning. The club's stated purpose is to build a competitive side in the national pyramid while creating a place where Emirati players develop alongside experienced international professionals. Mansour Al Menhali's subsequent call-up to the UAE Olympic national team is the first return on that intention.
Al Ain's victory, the club's eighth President's Cup, capped a dominant domestic season and set a standard that every club in the pyramid now measures itself against.
Palm City Football Club extends its congratulations to Al Ain Football Club, and its thanks to the organisers of the competition.
